What does Ko mean?

What kind of cuisine is it?
While we are strongly guided by the Japanese kaiseki tradition, we are also influenced by seasonality, the innovation of our mentors and peers, food memories, and the breadth of cuisine available in the melting pot of New York City. We strive to make food that is unexpected but delicious.

What is the difference between the main dining room and the bar at Ko?
The multi-course tasting menu is only available in the main dining room. Guests are seated at a counter that wraps around the open kitchen. The counter accommodates parties of 1 to 4 guests. There are also two tables that accommodate larger parties of 4 to 6 guests.

Our bar serves a constantly evolving selection of a la carte dishes. The tasting menu is not available at the bar. Please note, our bar is seated on a walk-in basis.

What’s on the tasting menu?
Our tasting menu is served in the main dining room, for lunch and dinner. The menu is currently 12 to 15 courses, priced at $255 per person, inclusive of service. Reservations are required. Please allow 2.5 hours for your meal.

What’s on the menu at the bar?
Our bar serves as a field for research and development for our culinary team. We put forth constantly evolving selection of a la carte dishes. Our full beverage menu is available as well.

Please note, neither the full tasting menu nor our previous 5 course bar menu is available in our bar.

Do you offer a beverage pairing?
Yes, a beverage pairing is available for $195 per person. We offer spirits, sake, beer, and wines by the glass, as well as a full wine list.

Can I bring my own wine?
Yes. Our corkage fee is $60 per 750 ml, with a maximum of 1 bottle per guest. Please note, we do not allow corkage for wines that appear on our list.

Can dietary restrictions and allergies be accommodated?
We are able to accommodate most dietary requests. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when making your reservation for the tasting menu. Please note that we are unable to create a vegan menu.

What are your hours of operation and seating times?
In the main dining room, our tasting menu is available at both lunch and dinner by reservations only.

Lunch: Friday – Saturday. Seatings are at 12:30 pm, 12:45 pm, and 1:00 pm. We will resume Sunday lunch on March 4th, 2018.

Dinner: Tuesday – Saturday. First seating at the counter is from 5:45 pm – 6:15 pm. Second seating at the counter is from 9:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Our tables are seated at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 9:30 pm.

We do not take reservations for the bar. The hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.

How do I make a reservation?
Reservations for the counter and tables in our main dining room are available online only through OpenTable. Our bar is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not take reservations over the phone.

How many days in the future are available for booking online?
Reservations are made available 30 days in advance (including the current day). For example, reservations for the 30th of the month will be made available on the 1st of the month.

I have a reservation in the main dining room. Can I dine in the bar instead?
No. We are not able to offer our tasting menu in the bar. Should you wish to cancel your reservation in the main dining room, we ask that any cancellations or adjustments to your reservation be made 48 hours in advance.

May I make a reservation for someone else?
Yes, but please have them bring your reservation confirmation.

Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Please let us know in advance so we can arrange for the best seating.

Is there a dress code?
No.

Can I bring my young child to dine?
Due to the unique configuration of the counter around the kitchen and the restricted number of chairs, we require that each guest participate in the menu. While we have had younger diners enjoy the full menu, we also understand that the average duration of the meal (at least 2.5 hours) and the amount and style of food is not for most children.

I’m celebrating a special occasion, can you do something special?
Please let us know when making the reservation and our team will help commemorate the occasion.

Can I organize prepayment of the check or a portion thereof?
Yes. Please email koreservations@momofuku.com, and we will be in contact to set it up.

How do I cancel my reservation / what is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel via your reservation email. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of your seating time, there is a cancellation/no show fee of $255 per person.

Can I change my party size online?
Yes based on availability. Please follow the link to change your reservation in your confirmation email.

What should I do if I am running late?
We will hold your seats for 15 minutes. If you are running late, please call 212.203.8095 and leave a message. Please note that we reserve the right to modify the menu to accommodate for late arrivals.

Do you allow walk-ins?
Occasionally, we are able to accommodate walk-ins for our tasting menu. Please inquire in person.

We welcome walk-ins at our bar for our a la carte menu.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, they can be purchased online here or at any of our restaurants.
